SABA BOX 700 ☆☆☆☆☆☆

We present the subject pair of monitors that certainly belong to the segment of the outstanding German listening monitors. We tested them on the receiver from our offer - PIONEER SX-750 with a great neutral sound. Canton GLE monitors were used as references. Saba is a typical studio monitor with contouring precise sound, Canton traditionally captivates with interestingly colored edges of the frequency response, it is certainly a strong position in our offer, but surprisingly the Saba 700 is not inferior to its rival.The monitors have silk tweeters, in Sabach the brand's characteristic composite dome, with natural vocal exposure. In Cantons, the grilles are made of metal, in Sabes - classic vintage fabric. Both models have gold-plated screw terminals, which also accept banana plugs.

SABA (Schwarzwälder Apparate Bau) was famous for producing the highest quality HiFi until the end of the seventies. Absolutely great, it is one of my favorite brands because of the sensational sound and perfect workmanship.

For listening, we used a great model of the Pioneer receiver, which proves that the receiver can also play great ... The sound of this configuration is excellent, with a wealth of details. From the first minutes we had the impression that the sound is much more than from average monitors. For today's listening we chose several albums of the brilliant Miles Davis ("Sketches of Spain", "Miles Smiles", "King of Blue"). It quickly turned out that the acoustic music sounds simply phenomenal on this set. The sound filled the entire listening room. Once again, we also confirmed that "Kind of Blue" is one of the best recorded jazz albums in the entire history of phonography. We managed to capture the wonderful mood and genius of the musicians participating in this extraordinary recording session. Then we moved from the 1960s to the present day. And another surprise, because the speaker construction based largely on elliptical drivers from the era is great for contemporary music. Extremely deep bass foundation, wide multi-faceted music scene. We ended the day with the album released at the British publishing house Ninja Tune "The Cinematic Orchestra-Every Day". Pure pleasure! Exceptional dynamics, classic analogue playing .... I heartily recommend.

we present a unique version of the great monitors from the 70s, the vastness of glorious audio history. The very estimate of the brand and the ambition of a vintage equipment lover motivated us to give these wonderful monitors a real unmodified precious natural veneer, manufactured according to best carpentry techniques. There was a lot of work with them, but the effect surprised even us ... But does anyone in the era of ubiquitous plastic appreciate it?

The sound of the monitors confirms that the best speaker sets were created until the 1980s.

The monitors were controlled by the Pioneer receiver as well as the Marantz receiver, a bit younger in age, but together creating a successful configuration with the Sabami. The sound of the set was exceptionally natural, classically analog, there was nothing lacking the bandwidth.

We listen a lot, but these monitors generate such incredible sound that we cannot tear ourselves away. Both Sabbath music from the 50s and contemporary recordings sound great on these Sabes. It doesn't matter if we listen to jazz or rock, we collect the jaws from the floor anyway. The large bass speaker wonderfully reproduces the lowest tones. The double bass also sounds natural. An incredible open spatial sound. But above all, the universality of this sound is surprising. Big space and great micro dynamics. These wonderful monitors confirm us very strongly that vintage audio is it ... :)
