With Elac, my story has been going since the early 80s, when I managed to get the first copies of the superb monitors LK4100. In the 1970s, the company was still called Elektroakustik Gmbh, later it took the short name Elac with headquarters invariably in Kiel, Germany.

In terms of the floor tiles, this is a unique floor set with a great, balanced sound. Three woofers with a diameter of 200 mm generate energizing, perfect warm but precise bass. Comparing ELAC EL 160 with current productions (decomposing sets into prime factors, I find it authoritarian with sadness that with every decade, even such powers as Elac, from the beginning of its factory in Kiel, Germany (not to mention, because it's sad, about companies) which have moved production to China for a long time) do not make production with such pietism, panache and uncompromisingly, I will not mention the weight of crates and the currently thin wall thickness, and these speakers with plastic bodies!) what is now produced is beautiful, shines, it captivates with design, but it plays vaguely ... old is gold ...
