ADVENT LEGACY

The Large Advent speaker system, introduced in 1968, was to "compete with the most sophisticated and expensive speaker systems for a fraction of their price," and was widely recognized in the hi-fi world in its time. Since 1968, many improvements have been made to speaker design and performance, and Advent (now a division of International Jensen, Inc.) offers Legacy as today's "digital ready" successor to the Large Advent

The name Advent Legacy "digital ready" refers to its ability to cope with very high levels of peak power. According to the manufacturer, it can easily withstand a continuous power of 100 watts with a maximum power of 500 watts. As with Large Advent, Legacy is a two-way system based on a 250 mm long pitch woofer in a closed acoustic enclosure. The woofer's coil length, which is wound with copper-coated aluminum wire, ensures that it remains in a uniform magnetic field even at high volume levels. The system passes with a frequency of 2,500 Hz to a 25 mm tweeter with a soft dome, filled with ferrofluid. There are no settings on the external level or in balance. Key Legacy performance parameters include a frequency range of 35 to 23,000 Hz ± 3 dB, nominal impedance of 8 ohms (minimum 6 ohms) with great dynamics

The object model Advent is very much sought after in the world markets, often reaching high prices. In combination with the Sony or other mature electronics from our auctions, the sound is extremely complementary and plastic, totally analogue, impossible to achieve in modern constructions in this price segment. I heartily recommend buying, these are extremely musical monitors, not available on the market :) Few two-way monitors in this price range are able to match them ... :)
