CASTLE STIRLING III

Castle Acoustic began operations on September 3, 1973. The company was founded by experienced engineers and managers who had previously worked at the legendary company Wharfedale.

Stirlingi 3 are universal flooring, located in the middle of the Classic series. The transducers are Castle's proprietary studies. Two 13-cm low-midrange drivers were made of carbon fiber braid. They have cast baskets and shielded magnets. The 28-mm soft dome is the same driver that the company uses in all classic constructions. The tweeter is moved relative to the axis of the front panel and placed between mid-woofers. The solid casing is made of 18-mm MDF and reinforced with rims and a partition. The set has a bass-refflex system with a bottom outlet radiating 360 degrees. Stirlings are well-playing loudspeakers for fair money.

Castle will find few worthy rivals in its price segment.

The columns are tonally aligned, but have their own character. Band edges are fairly even; it has neither exaggerated top nor exposed bottom. The midrange has been highlighted, which gives an interesting effect, because despite this procedure it does not have the impression of redrawing the vocals.

StirlingIII creates a lot of space. The instruments are slightly enlarged, but they do not overlap. The space is stretched wider than longitudinally. The stage begins on the speaker line and definitely expands behind them.

From the outside, theYy columns are finished with natural veneer. There are eight designs to choose from. The equipment includes spikes and rubber self-adhesive pads. The solid speaker terminals are adapted to bi-wiring and bi-amping, and thanks to the wide spacing they will accept most of the cable ends.

The crossover is mounted on a plate that is bolted directly to the terminals. The components are of good quality and the internal wiring is routed with large diameter copper wires. The columns bought a year ago at NAUTILUS were not used. They have factory made cartons with white covers fitted to the crates, integral polystyrene foam ensure safe transport!, WARRANTY,

A nice surprise will be to find white gloves in the carton and the company's catalog.
