We have already made a pre-sale service review of this beautiful amplifier from the late 70's of the last century. Now the time has come for the listening session. The exceptionally solidly built integrated amplifier, working in the dual mono system, two powerful trafa and extensive, carefully laid out electronics fill his chest. It's difficult to get perfect shots of this equipment in artificial light, but I assure you that after almost 40 years from the premiere it looks perfect !!

We did the last pictures today, it is immaculate !! We listened to it today and on the powerful IMF floorstand as well as the object JBL L40.

Certainly it is one of the better Sansui integrated amplifiers that I have been able to listen to. Great parameters, right power, large power reserve, huge functionality, the possibility of connecting several additional devices, a great phono preamplifier, also supports modern digital signal sources. Sansui, although it is a 70-year-old construction, its sound is more sophisticated in the presentation of music in relation to the competition, more neutral but not lacking in musicality, it has a warmer sound that kidnaps the listener after the first audition. The competition is darker sound. We're dealing here with a fantastic sound stage, its depth and layering is very noticeable. There is exactly a fuzzy scene here - more air can be felt around the instruments.

As the mood was rather blues today, we had the opportunity to listen to several albums from this genre. The first "Unplugged" by Eric Clapton was the first to take off. References for almost recorded material. Incredible depth and realism. Great acoustic arrangements are pure poetry on this set. Each instrument has its specific size and mass. You can simply visualize the whole scene with the musicians who fill the listening room. The next record was Muddy Waters' Folk Singer. In the genius edition of MFSL, this recording is released from the legs. It's just amazing that the 1964 album sounds like that! But, of course, it's great SANSUI electronics. Once again it is confirmed that the sound of the high models of this producer is a combination of what people love in tube amplifiers, with the powerful power and impact available only on transistors.

Summing up, AU -717 likes to play great.

The followers of the Sansui cult claim that all this testifies to the nature of the sound and its advantage over the competition.

From an objective point of view, Sansui is ahead of the competition but with subjectively thinking, where the musicality has its value over the brand's estimate, the competition is strong .... but it will still always be a unique SANSUI sound ..... :)
